...why everyone ITT is going on and on about "being loved" or "loving the Doctorr" or other romantic claptrap? Because that's a relatively new innovation with the reboot. And not a particularly good innovation, either.

I didn't interpret any of that as romantic love. Just "loved" as in "deeply cared about". Seems like you're the one bringing romance into it.

It's understandable. "Love" does tend to mean exclusively "romantic love", which is something that annoys me too. I just didn't really notice that happening this time.

LOL, literally no one mentioned romantic love until you jumped in. They're all talking about the love between friends.
