It's called, you grew out of it. It happens to all of us at one point, where other things grab our focus instead.

If you'd actually PAID ATTENTION to the post instead of just assuming you knew what they were going through you would have noticed that it wasn't them moving on to a new thing, it was them losing interest in a hobby they previously enjoyed - which is a symptom of various mental issues.

It wasn't just fanfic, it was any reading at all. Yeah, I did grow out of a lot of things, but not being able to concentrate long enough to read a full paragraph of anything for pleasure is kinda worrying. Especially when you want to do it but physically can't bring yourself to.
