Your motives may have been impure, but whatever. I've reported things that broke the rules at AO3, like people posting prompts or descriptions of original characters "plz draw this for me".

omg what is it with people posting prompts or fic searches over at AO3 lately? I have no idea how to report them, but you can bet if I did I would be doing that in a nanosecond. So dumb.

If you go down to the bottom of the page, there's a link that says "report abuse". If you click, it automatically fills in the link to the page you were on. I write something like "this is searching for fic, not a fic" and the rest is up to AO3. Usually, they email the not-fic poster, and the not-fic disappears.

Ah, I was searching all over the top of the page and for some reason didn't think to look at the bottom. Thank you!

Is that a widespread thing? I know the kinkmeme in my fandom had some huge wank a while back where requests were paused to have a fill-a-thon and people freaked the fuck out because requesting was 'how they contributed' and that they couldn't possibly wait a week to write down their creative ideas.
