OOC fanart can be sort of cute, because you don't need to explain it, but I hate OOC fic.

AUs, they're a hit or miss. It can be fun to throw characters into different situations, but the challenge is keeping them in-character, or at least as close to in-character as the situation allows. But I have seen some AUs that just hurt my brain, because the author may as well have been writing about two OCs that share the names with canon characters.
