They're also quite wrong and projecting hardcore. Belle is, A. new to town and B. was directly asked where she was going in the depicted scene

Also I highly doubt her father is rich, he's just invented enough things to make chores easier for them

And most people say 'hi, how're you doing?' without expecting someone's life story. They usually just want to hear 'I'm doing ok. You?"
