I couldn't really deal with the previous album, although I admit that perhaps I should give it another try/actually know what songs are on it because i'm not sure Oh No! counts among them.

I do constantly jam to Electra Heart in mostly full. I know it's not on the album, but I'd love a music video for E.V.O.L.

haha!

That was very good, even though I've never seen MM. I should really watch it though; I really like the style.

However, it was still a bit weird to watch because I'm so used to this. (My best friend made that, actually, but even if she didn't I'd still love it and plug it because Vriskaaaaaaaa!)

Hey, it's Homestuck! I've been kind of scared off by the sheer size of the work, but I like the vids. Just for fun:

I like!

I feel like I've seen the first one before, but worth a re-watch!

For the third one gah I wish they'd sourced the art. SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL ART.

If we're doing Homestuck videos:

Aw man, the other one I was going to post has been muted, damn it! It was so good too D:

Oh well, here's a silly one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUgnQdBEiz8

...I saw that and totally thought of the Korean girl group EvoL.

I can understand that, OP.

I keep meaning to listen to this entire album, but the 2 or 3 songs I have heard from it, I really like. It doesn't sound super pop-y to me but maybe it's not an accurate sample?

I'm not familiar with the artist or album at all, but saying, "Y'know, I'm not really digging the direction their music has gone in lately; if the next album is like this, I might not listen to them anymore" is NOT having a hissy-fit. It's a reasonable expression of preference. Unless you're aggressively hating all over them on fan communities and harshing other people's squee or yelling at the artists on Twitter to try to make them produce music you like, you're probably fine.

I totally don't get this because to me, The Family Jewels and Electra Heart have a sound so similar that it's almost indistinguishable. Maybe Electra Heart is a little more polished, but not to the point of sounding less like Marina. (Except for Primadonna. Great song, really generic pop pseudo-dubstep melody.)

Then again, I did come to her music after Electra Heart had been released and listened to both albums side-by-side, so if you've been a fan since The Family Jewels, maybe you had time to form opinions and expectations of her music that I didn't?
