It's not AS awful as I had feared it might be, and I don't actively hate the design on the Turtles, and the last little bit of the trailer is actually kind of funny...

But more than any other media, TMNT *is* my childhood/adolescence and I don't trust for a second that they're not going to screw it up.

(In the bad way. The first cartoon screwed with the origin and characterization more than any other adaptation has since, but was still acceptable, being as it was aimed at a younger audience, and still fun. This... not so much.)

Wow. That's some bullshit. The ending joke was funny but the designs are legit terrifying, was that a white Shredder, and what's this about purposefully creating the turtles?

Where are people getting "white Shredder" from? I can't see anything that indicates who Shredder is. Is he supposed to be the guy talking to April? How can you tell?

I don't care about TMNT as a franchise but that is a completely awful trailer, and the movie looks completely terrible. It is so in the formulaic mold of Michael Bay Blockbuster Film that it almost reads like self-parody - the seriousness, the overstuffed visuals, the overwrought grittiness. Megan Fox holding a camera phone and watching something in astonishment. It looks completely awful and what's more pointless - the style is just so completely tired and formulaic by this point and I just don't see any creative reason for this movie to exist done in this style.

I suppose the best-case scenario is that the trailer is just misleading and the movie is witty and parodic and good but it just looks so shitty.
