Re: A hypothetical question

Okay, so my first thought was divide it equally. With there being roughly $60 trillion in the world and about 7 billion people, that only amounts to $8500 per person, which pretty much sucks. Everyone would essentially be poor. No governments would function, and very few businesses would remain in operation.

So assuming I had the data available, what I would do is take the pile of cash and pay off all outstanding medical debt in the world. After seeing how much $$ was left, I might also pay off all student loans. Then I'd give back the remaining cash in roughly the same fashion, percentage-wise, as it was spread around before. I can fantasize about doing some good in the world, but I can't realistically imagine a good reason for massive wealth redistribution.
