Remember everyone, the media you are interested in is never interested in you. It is interested in your money. The object is never to give you something you enjoy, that is merely the by-product. The object is targeting people willing to pay for whatever it is being produced. If they can hit an adult, teen, and pre-teen market all in one go, then by god they'll do it.

Just look at Britney Speers back when she released that song where she was dressed like a school girl. pre-teen and teen girl market targeted with the music, adult male playboy reader market targeted also. Money was raked in. These Japanese things are no different. The target market is still "people willing to pay", without fear or favor.
