You're trolling and I have no idea what source you got this from, but on the slim chance it's factual: A) many of them no longer spoke any African languages or remembered what cultures their families came from, and B) traveling across the Atlantic back then could take months and was often in nightmarish conditions for those who didn't have the money for better.

It's basically telling someone "Hey, we're gonna send you on a one-way trip to a faraway country of your choice to take your chances amidst foreign cultures with no marketable skills or ability to communicate, and also you might die on the way there, isn't that great?"
