Um...yes. I got that.

And Severus Snape is still not Heathcliff--not even close. He's not a romantic Byronic hero, no matter how much some of his fangirls try to make him into one.

Sure, he's got a lingering grudge, and and unrequited love for a dead woman--but does that make him a character akin to Heathcliff? On the most shallow, superficial level, okay--yeah. But really? Deep down, where it counts? Hell, no.

So when I see someone post about how much they love Severus Snape, with the line, "I always did have a weakness for Heathcliff," I can only wonder whether they've read Wuthering Heights at all, much less understood what they read.

And using a pretty-boy picture that looks nothing like Snape doesn't help, either.
