Hey, do y'all think there is any credence to the theory the Mako is really Nui pretending to be her in the end? It does kind of make sense, she sort of acting ooc by the end of the episode and there is going to be an OVA.

Nah, if the clothing resemblance is intentional, I think it's just Trigger messing with us. Reminds me that in one of the early episodes there was a false scare that Mako was going die next episode a la a certain Gurren Lagann character, because of some digits reflected in her sunglasses that looked like they spelled "I DIE."

The reasoning doesn't make sense. Yeah, it's Nui's color palette, but that's... the only point they have. The backpack isn't anywhere near the shape of her eyepatch, it's a doofy rabbit head. Having her left eye closed in one shot is meaningless. And the idea that Mako wanting to date/kiss Ryuko is OOC is really hilarious because that has been there the entire show -- besides the mountain of cute little things, never forget that Mako was nosebleeding over Ryuko long before Nui was even introduced.
It just feels like one of those "Ash is actually in a coma" type of theories to me, really.

I mean, with Trigger who knows really, but if it's anything they're probably just messing with us, I'd say.

Nah, just a fan-theory and I don't think Ryumako stuff's out of character.

Though, I'm vaguely disappointed that we didn't get a Gainax End this time around. Maybe the OVA will deliver.
