I don't think it's fair to judge somebody for how they feel. As long as OP isn't telling MtF people that they should be glad they weren't born female because of periods, I can't fault her for wishing for whatever she happens to wish for.

It's absolutely fair when they ask a question, to answer it. I'm not going to lie and say "Oh no, OP! It's totally fine! That's not offensive at all."

It's fair to answer a question, but not, in my opinion, for the answer to be "yes, I judge you for this". However, just as OP can feel how she feels, you're perfectly within your rights to feel how you feel.

Question: Is this offensive?
Answer: Yes.

How much sugar coating would you like on this answer? I mean, I could just... not answer, and therefore not call OP out on their shitty behavior, but for one, it's shitty, and two, they asked if it was shitty.

I don't think thoughts are the same thing as behaviour. She isn't doing anything, as far as we know, to undermine people with gender dysphoria.

"This thing here which I have never experienced isn't so bad. Now this, this other thing, that's the actual fucking worst."

(Anonymous) 2014-03-29 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Only she is?? By completely presuming to know what it's like to have gender dysphoria and saying it's preferable to menstruation, she is in fact undermining every trans person ever.
