Yeah okay I could not care less about Free, but Ping Pong looks ugly to me. You can have an unconventional, unique animation style without it being grossly unappealing (and there are many examples of this in anime!), but this definitely is in my opinion.

Yes, it is in your opinion, because for me the character in your icon would be something I'd consider "grossly unappealing" while the looks of Ping Pong are fine to me, so different people, different strokes, I suppose. Can't really judge based on that.

my icon isn't really from a pandering or moe show though...

Uh, of course it's my opinion. I stated it as such. But I can judge a show based on an aesthetic I dislike because that's a hecka important part of animation.
