ok, idk if you're getting back to this post, but here you go:

Village of Stone by Gua Xiaolu (beware of graphic sexual abuse of children)

Nordseedschungel by Doris Meißner-Johannknecht (queer book, idk if it's translated into english though)

The Hottest Dishes of the Tartar Cuisine by Alina Bronsky (also csa warning)

Atlas of Remote Islands by Judith Schalansky (I love this one)

Female centric books (albeit by male authors):

Bad monkey by Matt Ruff
