Has anyone here played it?

I have been trying to, but honestly I must be doing it wrong. I did the practice and have tried arena/play. I have lost about 18 times and won 0, so I expect this is not the game for me.

Do practice for a while, level up/unlock the champs. Don't just attack the other player, make sure their cards are dealt with as well. An easy way to lose is to let them get too many cards on the field. Taunt is your friend!

Thank you for this advice! I have done the practice mode to unlock all the champs (and I use a mage champ). How can I get random cards after that? Will the uh "Extreme Practice Mode" give me more cards?

You get a free pack of cards for beating all the champs on expert, you also get a free pack of cards from getting all your champs to ten. (Rather you get 100 gold which you use to buy them!) You can also turn unwanted cards into blue powder and make cards, but that's best saved for later on. Once you're more comfortable with how the game works, you can win packs of cards in arena, but it costs 150g to play that.

are you just playing in casual mode or ranked? also there are lots of places with nice decklists for beginners etc. i love hearthstone but i got in beta v. early so i have a loooooot of cards

Casual. Right now I am trying to get all of my classes to max. Which I think is something I have to do? My mage is maxed but none of the rest.
