So in my search to find new covers for e-books I downloaded, I found out Anne Rice is having a new book come out this fall. About Lestat. Even though years ago when she went back to Catholism, she said she was done with her vampires. My reaction is wut. It's also called Prince Lestat. Wut.

She's a complicated women with a complicated life.

Man, as someone who was born into one religion and probably die with it, I just do not get religion hopping. At least not in the whole convert -> super devout for a few years -> regression and/or new religious obsession -> repeat.

The most ridiculous Ann Rice stuff lately has been her inability to deal with negative reviews on Amazon.

I mindwiped all Anne Rice novels after Queen of the Damned (Did Lestat meet Jesus? Not in my world.) , but this news makes me happy. Part of me is jealous of the relationship she has with her characters: no fanfic because they're real! Lestat dictates my novels!

I saw an interview with her on a morning news show a few months ago and she seemed totally cool with vampires and the books she's written about them.
