I remember reading a while back that someone was complaining about homeless people having smartphones and laptops.

Like, dude, those things are actually crucial for survival and job-finding, these days. I can't count the number of times I've seen a 'Hiring Now!' sign on a store, only to be told that the actual application has to be filled online, and that's before discounting homeless people using the Internet to find good places to eat for free or cheap, sleep safely, etc.

Oh but internet is available for free, and it's not like getting to the nearest library with such free access might require access to a car or public... ohhh.

And even that is assuming that the library computers are up to snuff - which they aren't always. -_-

Or that the library attendants won't find any excuse possible to boot out any homeless people, which some of them will.
