Neal died. I am not okay. There are 'victorious' Hook/Emma fans filling people's tumblr asks with gloating bullshit right now, and I have never been so glad to be a lurker so I don't have to deal with that. For fuck's sake I hate Hook but I don't give a damn about Neal and Emma ending up together. He was one of my favorite characters and there's a sizable chunk of the OUAT fandom celebrating his horrible death. Fuck them. With Rumpelstiltskin's dagger, and no, that's not a euphemism. Also Belle is on the run because the person holding his dagger ordered him to kill her, so there's that too, but at least she's not going to die.

Brought his dad back to life. Sort of. More like insane zombie half-life, but he meant well. Every time someone means well on this show, something terrible happens, but the villains mean to screw everybody over and yet somehow they're always okay in the end.

I am so fucking angry and bitter over this stupid show and its awful writing. I mean, the writing was always questionable, but if the selling point of the show is hope and happy endings you don't take one of the few honest, good-hearted characters and kill them off, so it's not even consistent awful writing. Even when Graham died, he had agreed to kill Snow in exchange for what he wanted, before. Neal left his girlfriend, and yet somehow that's the worst sin anyone has ever committed ever, on a show full of redemption-bound murderers.

I'm so glad I quit watching OUAT after Regina turned evil again.

I didn't even really ship Neal/Emma but I most definitely did NOT ship Hook/Emma. They have zero chemistry, and Hook is a creepy bastard.

And the fandom is celebrating? That's pretty gross.

CaptainSwan fandom is the lunatic fringe of the SwanQueen fandom of last season, but bolstered by tons of promotion by ABC and the rising tide of Hook fangirls using Emma as a self-insert placeholder. His character did a 180 at the beginning of season 3, so his 'redemption arc,' which took all of 5 days, show time, revolved around his newfound feelings for Emma, who, two weeks before in the show's timeline, he'd left in a cell to die after calling her shriveled and useless.

I'm no big SwanQueen fan, because I don't like the idea of Emma ending up with someone who tried to kill her, but at this point, assuming Regina's current redemption sticks, I'd take SwanQueen over Hook and Emma. Hook's fandom isn't only celebrating Neal's death, you see. They're also celebrating his chance to be such a great father figure to Henry, because if there's ever been something all the various incarnations of Captain Hook are known for, it's their brilliant way with children.

Maybe if the show had better writing/effects/everything they wouldn't have to resort to forcing stupid romantic pairings to please fangirls who really should know better.
