Like, I recently went out to breakfast with some people and they wouldn't use the table syrup because they couldn't be sure that it was "real." And there's a sugar shack nearby where you can volunteer and your payment for volunteering is a share of the batch.
It's as if it's a tenet of a goddamned religion, which explains how and why I know how to make it.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-31 04:20 am (UTC)(link)But on the Eastern front...I live in the Northeast US, so given our insanity, it would make sense for Eastern Canada to be more into the Real Maple Syrup™ thing. I mean, how could it not be? These trees, man. And this sap.
