The characterizations don't entirely mesh with the end-of-series characterizations, but I think if you read these fics and consciously put yourself in the mindframe of a pre-OotP reader, you'll be able to see how the authors got where they did from there.

lol Transfigurations was the fic that pushed me into H/D is fucking bullshit camp 11 or so years ago when I attempted to read that garbage.
