I thought this final season really stepped it up, which made the ending more disappointing to me. I thought the mother was perfect. But in the end, I guess that's the way it goes.

I loved the Mother for Ted. They fit so well. And I guess I felt like the final destroyed all the development of the last few seasons. It would have fit better if the show had ended a few seasons earlier.

Yeah, that makes sense. They had moved too far away from that original arc for it to fit now.
