I mean, in one of my fandoms there was a bit of an overlap because the author's son used to visit our forums from time to time, and the admin had met the author in person and told her about the site, but she never seemed to want to interact with us herself - I got the impression fanfiction made her a bit uneasy, and anyway, she was older. She definitely wasn't retweeting us!
