Though Derek Hale is actually a personal favorite, I can definitely see how someone would find him incredibly boring. Hoechlin doesn't exactly get much to work with.

Personally I find Scott the more tiresome boring character, which is painful because I want to like him and the show wants me to like him but I just find him so blaaaaaah boring.

(I am ignoring the existence of the twins.)

I found Scott really boring in the first two seasons. But he was a lot more interesting in the third, I thought. He was definitely one of the sole bright spots of 3a and b for me.
