It's a shame, too. Because DC has some really good books going on right now and really good stories. (Brian Azzarello's Wonder Woman has been a real treat, so it's a shame he's leaving the book.

I always felt DC's best stories far outstrip Marvel's on every level, and when they treat their characters right (especially female ones) it makes for some genuinely breathtaking reading. But their worst? Only X-Men's worst stories compare.

At their worst, even Andy Capp is better than DC. I'll admit to being a DC fangirl (although DC doesn't believe that women read its comics), and if you ask me to name a dozen comic titles they are nearly all DC, but ask me how many DC titles I subscribe to right now? None, because DC has just been generally clueless and occasionally hostile. Marvel are beiting them on all fronts, hell even Archie are beating the hell out of DC right now.

Well now, lets be fair, Archie has relaxed it's upright moral stance a LOT.

Which let them make AoA, which is Dallas meets Night of the Living Dead in the best way.

No matter what your preferences, having two companies making good, accessible comics and knowing what they're doing would be so good for the industry as a whole. So beneficial.

And yeah, DC can do some fantastic stuff when they're actually firing on all cylinders. I think Marvel's stories are more interesting even at their best but it's really a question of style.

DC is making a lot of the mistakes Marvel made back in the 90s. Hence why I'm screaming in frustration a lot.
