Holy shit, this was one of my favorite books as a teenager. I mean, I'm sure I'd still like it now if I went and reread it, but wow. I loved Marion Zimmer Bradley's work, though I recently tried to reread one of her books and like it but found it to be a bit too "feminist" especially as she tries to write semi-historical stuff.

Very disappointed it this is true.

Probably won't affect my enjoyment of the work though - I'm used to liking stuff by shitty authors, actors, producers, etc.

The Hastur books were my absolute favorites when I was young. In fact, they were the first books to mention same sex relationships that I had ever read. (this was back when they were being written)
I'm pretty shocked to hear this and it kind of ruins a part of my childhood. Everything dies, I suppose.

Me too. I might not read something if I knew this beforehand, but if I've already done so, I'm able to divorce the work from its creator.
