(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 01:14 am (UTC)(link)About a year ago I posted a picture on tumblr that was tailored after a request from a BNF that I quite liked at the time (as in I really loved their stories and character interpretations).
The picture was picked up by them and they reblogged it with a small story (something I had given them permission to do so and was fairly excited about). Suddenly the note ratio was in the few hundreds when before I had only ever gotten about 10 notes or less. On the other hand I realised, that it was not my picture that had gained most of the fame, even with the added publicity of their reblog, but the story they had written.
