(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 01:30 am (UTC)(link)Additionally, if it is reassuring to you in any way, in my area, if you go in and explain you have weird itchiness/whatever, they will just collect a urine sample, test that to rule out a UTI, and then give a prescription strength medication for a yeast infection. Actual visual or manual inspection of the area is...not really done as a first resort.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 04:09 am (UTC)(link)That said, if it's accompanied by the feeling like you need to pee, that sounds an awful lot like a urinary tract infection. It's no biggie and the doctor won't have to examine your vagina. You'll just need to provide a urine sample and they'll prescribe antibiotics.
