Thanks! And IMO, there's a lot to world history and how do different cultures interact that we really need to study and think about if we want to do this globalization thing.

For example, the Chinese back then considered most outsiders as "barbarians coming to the Celestial Empire" , but yet they view the kingdoms of Malaya and Sumatra with almost equal respect and friendship compared to Europe. Another example is how the trading of spices in those Malay kingdoms would jack the prices of Indian pepper in Venice to extreme heights, angering Spain and Portugal.

Also, can I just say that I really want to see what will happen if a western numb-nut "discovers" the Chinese-Muslim connection and going all "BLARGH!" about it?
