(Anonymous) 2014-04-05 03:50 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, I'm referring to American Christians. And yeah, it's definitely true that there are places where Christians are actually persecuted. That's one of the reasons that I get really annoyed with people here who think that it's happening to them. There are Christians in the world who are literally being killed for their faith, and they have the gall to declare "we're second-class citizens now!!!" because they aren't allowed to discriminate against people who don't share their beliefs (oh, the irony).
I don't know, man. They live in a society that allows them the freedom to worship, and in which their religion is the cultural norm, and they not only take it for granted, but their complaints make a mockery of people who are actually suffering.
(I just want to disclaim that I'm not referring to all American Christians; just a very vocal, very annoying subset)
