I agree.

It goes for all forms of arts. Heck, we might even say it applies to life in general. Sometimes you can just have a nice little chitchat and sometimes you want to have a deep and spiritual conversation. Nothing wrong with either. Yes, some people think you shouldn't air your dirty laundry or whatever, but guess what, some people like having deep and meaningful conversations instead of talking about rainbows and unicorns. Both sides are entitled to their own opinion and their way of living their life.

tl;dr Only want to be entertained by a book? Fine. It is not a failing on the part of the author if someone isn't entertained by their book. On the contrary, if that's what they're aiming for, they've actually succeeded.
