Does Stiles replace Allison as Scott's anchor after Scott and Allison break up? Or is Scott his own anchor?

Scott is his own anchor. Or at least I'm assuming after that speech by Melissa with the whole "be your own anchor" thing.

another TW question

Figured I'd keep it in one thread, but, do we have a canon timeline for the fire? I've seen both 10 and 6 years in fic but is that just fanon?

Is it fanon or canon that Stiles and Scott have been best friends since elementary school? I saw O'Brien say that once but can't recall it ever being in canon.

I don't even think Davis knows the timeline for the fire tbh.(it was 10 in the first episode, then 6 in the second or third, I've seen 8 in fandom before now... really it's anyone's guess.)

What nightscale says about the fire. Davis isn't good at keeping a timeline and sticking to it. (For anything, really. Not for ages or what time of year it is either.)

I don't think we've ever heard about Stiles and Scott being bff's since elementary school on the show, but the shitty novel seems to imply it? Can't remember the exact quote (and I'm not even finished with the thing, so I might be missing something) but I think them knowing each other that long is a safe bet.

It's been 6 years since the fire. The ten years comes from the pilot because Stiles said it happened "like ten years ago" and people took it literally. He was very emotional when he said it, used a generality, and was of an age where years seem long (like how times seems to speed up as you get older). There were other mentions throughout seasons 1 and 2 that made it clear it hadn't been that long, but no specific time was given.

In 3x02, which is set about 9 months after the pilot, Derek says he hasn't seen his sister Cora since the fire 6 years before. It's said sometime after that she's 17 and in 3x05 Peter tells Cora that he doesn't know her anymore because she was 11 the last time he saw her (the day of the fire).

I thought that was a misheard line? Didn't someone say the line was simply "since the fire"? Though the Cora age thing is right, so....Dammit now I'm going to have to go and look that scene up.

Jeff said it was a misheard line but closed captioning had it in there and lip readers saw it, too. I sorta wonder if he filmed it both ways and then aired the wrong one. And yeah, Cora's age makes it 6 years.

Jeff Daviiiiiis! *shakes fist in air* He is seriously delusional when it comes to this show sometimes. What he thinks he's airing and what the fans are actually watching just seem like two completely different shows. Ugh.
