The ridiculous little things that make your pets happy.

For my Kitty Fluff Monster, it's the door to the upstairs half-bath/closet. She she only gets to go into when I go in there. She gets so excited it's like I'm taking her to a magical kitty theme park it's adorable. It's the same bathroom, Fluff. You go in there with me several times a day. Why does this make you so happy?

Sometimes my dog doesn't settle at night. She walks and paces and just can't seem to settle down. On those nights I'll stop and ask her "do you want me to tuck you in?" and she'll run upstairs and jump on her bed and flip around for "cuddles" and goodnight kisses. Then she's down for the night.

Sometimes she'll also get all jumpy and weird and look at me a certain way and I'll ask "Is it cuddle time?" or "Time for cuddles!" and she'll run/hop/bounce into whatever room I say and roll over and we'll cuddle for awhile. Which is hilarious because she's a kind of cat-like dog in which she doesn't give much feedback or care for pets most of the time, but every now and then she needs a cuddle.

Lettuce. You cannot leave a salad unattended in my house or one of the cats will steal bits out of it.

Squeaky toys and post-it notes, apparently. Also plants.

Ice cubes. If one gets accidentally dropped on the floor my dog will start sliding it around the kitchen floor and chasing it until he inevitably hits it underneath something and can't get it out again (and then he'll stare mournfully at the nearest human until someone gets it for him).

Chrestomanci's favorite toy is a balloon. It's more that it's a ribbon-delivery-system (seriously, his favorite food D:), but a helium balloon from the dollar store will get way more play time chasing that ribbon than almost any expensive toy expressly made for cats. We have to keep it in either the storage garage or a closed bathroom because he will catch it and eat the ribbon. Actually, we'll be getting him one sometime next week to celebrate his 14th birthday!

Is your cat's name from the book [or series, rather] I think it is? =D?

I have a cat who loves the bathroom, too. He follows me in and rolls around on the tile floor until I leave. He doesn't go in on his own, though, even though he could.

For my cats...Hmm.

Nocy: Letting him sleep in my room/lay on my chest/stick his face into my ear [I don't get that one either], or playing fetch with his jingle balls.

Prince: Attention, being allowed to cuddle, eating corn.

The rug. If I let Dusty on the rug she will dance about and be so damn happy that I'm letting her shed all over my rug.

The part of my tv stand where I used to keep my DVD's, if I open the door one of my cats will barrel past me and stay in there for hours. That and pencils, if they see one the go nuts.
