I really wonder where this mysterious Silmarillion fandom is hanging out that apparently woobifies villains and only writes porn instead of discussing meta.

I must be on a different Tumblr than you, because my experience of the fandom there is that we have meta out the wazoo and relatively tame shippy fanart with some very occasional porn thrown in.

Like seriously, if you think that Silm fandom is that scary please don't ever check out what the other fandoms are up to over there.

Well, this secret today didn't even talk about porn. I think if someone's hangup is OOC characterization, they would definitely have an issue with this interpretation of Morgoth/Sauron (especially Sauron), which you can't deny is in fashion now and is fairly prominent even in this small, meta-oriented fandom.
