The one and only fanfic I bought (for charity) was AMAZING. Would definitely buy fanfic again.

I don't see the difference or problem in buying fanfic or fanart, as long as the prices are low hobby prices to cover costs (even writing digitally produced fic needs a computer, internet connection etc) or if the money goes to charity.
