Making this high-minded bid for "let's just agree to disagree" comes off as really, really insincere since you've already declared the other side to be wasting their time by liking what they like. It's like being that person in a debate who makes a lot of passive-aggressive ad hominem attacks and then when people call them on it for being a douche, steps back and informs everyone that the debate ought to be civil because we're all rational adults, blah blah blah.

I hadn't thought of you as a troll prior to reading your comments in this thread and now I'm super confused.

i didn't say "wasting their time", i said "wasting their money". if you wanna quote me, at least do it right.

i said something, people answered, i realized their point of view is valid but that i don't understand it. it's not some grand trolling strategy or something like that. i wouldn't throw away weeks of interacting with users here just to rustle your (general you) jimmies. i don't think i made ant ad hominem attacks or anything like that, but i realize my comments came off as a bit prissy and/or agressive. can't change 'em i guess, but i thought i'd stopped the "debate" before i said something i'd regret.

The misquote doesn't invalidate the criticism, though. I, too, was taken aback by your "wasting money" remark, too. It came off as unnecessarily harsh and dismissive. I wouldn't dream of telling someone that the things they purchase are a waste of money, just... wow.
