So basically - there are a few cases in which you do mind it. Would that list have been a bit easier to write...?

Man, who cares about your opinions about humorous RPF enough that it requires a secret? Is that a thing? Should we all have secret opinions about humorous RPF?

N.S: I don't mind humorous RPF

S: I think all RPF is pretty shady, and refuse to read any of it.

How would it be "somehow meta?"

I've read some really awesome RPF that is about character bleed and the actors taking on traits of the characters they play. IDK maybe that's what OP is talking about.

Oooooh, those are some of my favourite fics but I find the good ones really hard to find. Got any recs?

Here you go:

The sequel, Character Bleed, is linked at the top of the post.

I have seen fics where the actors discuss how fans are going to react to situations like the members of the Hobbit cast hanging out for drinks and the returnees like Ian MacKellan, Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood commenting on watch sort of fanfic will come about this time, and someone like Martin Freeman agreeing, since he knows about Fandom from Sherlock.

Does it have to fit all the criteria, or just one?

I get that some people hate RPF (I don't read it myself because I'm not interested in actors) but I don't understand why this is a secret. It seems like every single person I've met (well, except for one lunatic) understands that RPF isn't about real people as they are in reality but a fantasy.

You should meet some segments of the Glee-actor fandom.

If you like the Marvel movies, you should try Copperbadge's ongoing series: RDJ advises Chris Evans on his life choices. It's just in response to pictures, clearly meant to be silly and not a real thing at all.

Serious RPF squicks me, but I've read some fic. I've written crack RPF and I both love reading it and writing it, so I try not to get all upon arms about other people writing RPF because it's hypocritical to say one version (crack fic) is okay while one isn't. It's all RPF.

It sounds like your RPF preferences are similar to mine. I like fics about actors, being actors, and the plot of the fic happening behind the scenes of the show/movie they are in.
