Good premiere! I can't stop thinking about those last scenes with Arya Stark, Littlest Badass, and how weirdly great her relationship with the Hound is.

The only thing that really bothered me from the whole ep was that they didn't explain the new Daario casting. I knew he had been recast (and the actor is certainly more attractive/charismatic) but I still found it jarring. I thought maybe they'd say the other guy was working for the "true" Daario as a scout or something.

I think the next ep is the Purple Wedding, yeah? SO READY.

The only thing that bugged me was the brothel scene where we actually get a bisexual man and a male prostitute and yet still we only see the women naked.

Can't wait for the Purple Wedding.

Dany's scenes were awesome. I found the new Daario jarring too. I really liked the old Daario, no matter what anyone else says, and they still haven't said why he was recast.

All the Lannister scenes were perfect. Margaery is awesome as always. The scene with Brienne with the Tyrells was awesome.

I also thought that they interrupted that brothel scene very abruptly. Oh HBO, so afraid to show some peen.

And yes, Purple Wedding is what I'm looking forward to the most!

I'm torn about the wedding. On the one hand, I've been eager for what's coming because UGH, YOU SHIT, JUST DIE ALREADY, but on the other hand Jack Gleeson is so good at what he does and it's so fun to hate him.

I look forward to the other characters' reactions, though. That should be terrific.

Oh god. I just realized with Jack talking about quitting acting after GoT, this will be it. D:

I'm a little annoyed at myself for missing it. Probably the first thing I'll do after I eat dinner.

I'll be honest, I fast-forwarded through Dany's scenes, I just don't care about her at all. I wish we had more Brienne, but the little bit we did see of her was great.
The gratuitous female nudity irked me. Like, we get it, HBO is so edgy and wow nudity. Either none at all or equal female and male, imo.

They tend to show the boobs the most during talkative exposition set-up, so it sort of serves to help keep people fixed on the screen when important information is being shared in a not-particularly-interesting fashion. Granted, as a straight woman I would appreciate a few more scenes involving chiseled man-butt and coy glimpses of peen, but I am grateful we are given any at all ~~wait no not the Theon/Ramsey bits, oh god noooo~~.

We also briefly got Hodor peen at some point. Everybody wants the Hodor peen.

Yeah, Honest Trailers put it best. Too many monologues, so they will try to keep your attention with Any Boobs Necessary.

I'm not really big on the show, but Olenna fangirling over Brienne was the greatest thing I've ever seen and I'm so glad it happened

IDK IDK, philstar and I can get in a fight because I thought S3's Daario was god-awful. ;) It's not a character or a plotline I like much to begin with, but at least I kinda believe this Daario is a dangerous motherfucker.

Oberyn was not pronounced the way I thought it was. :\ Unnecessary brothel scene was unnecessary, but they almost made up for it by actually saying "Rhaegar left Elia for another woman, and that started the war." I actually went back and watched the line again to be sure I heard that right! It's one of the few times the show has actually acknowledged important events from Robert's Rebellion- the scene in the crypt at the very beginning, Jaime's side to the Kingslayer story, and now this.

Also yaaaaas at The Dreadfort being in the opening credits now.

IMO this Daario is at least hotter, but still a douche.

Oh Daario is completely canonically a douche, so that's never been an issue.

I was almost won over by his "you must learn the culture" thing where he gave Dany flowers, (just like Dany was) but he still seems a total dickbag. I think I was just almost swayed by his wonderful beard. Damn bearded hot dude. I've heard he's a douchey character, so I'm glad it's not just me.

Ha. That's okay. I know most people like the new one better. The old Daario just...really does it for me physically. And I'm not sure why they didn't even at least try to make the new guy look similar. The character is still an ass either way, but I'd just rather look at the other one.

Finally got around to watching the first episode last night. Was super nervous about the Oberyn pronunciation after you mentioned it here since he's my favorite non-POV character from the books, and you have no idea how relieved I was that it was pronounced (at least by the non-Dornishmen) exactly the way it was in my head.

I realized why it's called the Purple Wedding (haven't read the books, but I know some of the spoilers) and I don't think I'm ready.

Ahhhh Arya and the Hound hanging out killing people and him being all "if you don't stfu I'm gonna eat all your fucking chickens!" I was laughing so hard. I love them.
