younger/older siblings

I'm a yonger sister and I feel uncomfortable when I teach my older sister or tell her to do something, that sort of thing. I'm 25 so it's not like our 2-3 year difference matters.
Do you feel the same?

Nope. I've got two older siblings and two younger, we're all adults and there's about 1 year between each child. I can't really think of a situation that would be weird teaching them something - other than the general awkwardness that is me trying to teach anyone something.

I sort of feel that way about my dad about helping with money. Like I'm totally out of line if I offer to pay for him. My mom always hated me paying for anything and now my dad is unemployed so I could pay for things for him but he just refuses anyway so. What to do?

This's tough. My mom just gives money to my gran, places it on a table if need be and doesn't listen to refusals. She's pushy.

No. I have no problems teaching my older (by four years) sister or giving her advice. She's so naive she might as well be fourteen not forty.

Nope. I gloat at their helplessness and hold it over their heads how SMRT I am and how dumb they are. :)

Actually, i really do, but we all joke around like that and nobody is hurt or anything.

I'm actually going to say 'sort of yes' for this. My sister is 5 years older and was very much a third parent to me growing up. I think I'm more subservient to her than either of our parents now, and don't really mind it. It's just a sort of natural order which just sort of works. Quid pro quo and all that.

So yeah, she tells me to do stuff, not the other way around. And as far as teaching her stuff, the only field I'm both more experienced than her AND that she's interested in is music.

It's extremely odd and liberating in a way being the expert compared to her. It's fun to gloat as long as I don't push it too far, since she is a bit sensitive.
