Babies can be really ugly. LOL My older daughter was a premie and she looked like a teenie little old man who was pissed the fuck off. She also still had some of the laguno on her so we called her Wolf Baby.

And I think you are right re: abstract concept.

Don't remember the exact thread in question, but I have never had a close relationship with a baby (youngest child, my siblings and friends haven't had kids yet). I occasionally laugh at and even make dead baby jokes, or other flippant comments about babies (amongst other things). I am also a cat person through and through, and have truly loved my many pets over the years.

And yet, at no point in my life up to this point would I choose to save a puppy or kitten over a human baby.

Just my 2 cents, but wtf F!S, wtf.
