I disagree. I have numerous pairings that I really love, and I enjoy roleplaying them. If I wanna RP a pairing without worrying about context, I'll use email, AIM, or a private community.

If you're gonna join a proper roleplaying community, then being in-character is the primary concern. It shouldn't be about hooking your OTP up as quickly as possible, it should be about doing it right. Even if it takes months and months! Isn't that more satisfying? And more fun!

It's alright! I just don't want to stir up personal wank by revealing myself, but I agree with what you said. There was no development or ANYTHING and while this might not be the right place to say it, we know that the players are dating, and this gives players who ARE dating and playing pairings a bad name ;.;

As someone who RPs with their significant other, that..really just bugs me. Half our characters don't even interact. Hopefully this is a small light of hope that it's possible to RP with a significant other and not play for smut.

Hn... I dunno, I obviously can't say anything about the pairing/roleplayers in question specifically, I left polychromatic waaaay back in January, long long time ago.

But regardless, when you're roleplaying, you're... well, you know, roleplaying! That's the whole point! You don't need to live your own relationship through the characters you're playing, you know? Ehh. Oh well >:

Which makes it more okay and less petty to publicly shame and hate-squeal over the RPers choices in another big comm how? Again, I don't know anything what's going on, but I look at the above threads with the "I feel dirty" and bullshit like that and think, jesus, what's wrong with this comm that that sort of public shaming is not just okay but encouraged?

This is the sort of thing I always think should be politely critted at the players or brought to mods, not publicly and rudely shamed in a secrets comm -- hell, it's not even a "bad RPrs" or bitching comm, officially.
