Natalie just comes off as really privileged and unaware of it. I had to google a bit for the quote that annoyed me, but I found it. Back when the recession started, Natalie said this: "I think it's kind of an exciting time. I mean, everyone is cutting back. It's happening in every industry - including our own. All of a sudden, people are doing jobs that they hate and they're not making as much money as they thought they would or they've lost their jobs entirely. I've started to see people looking more toward their own passions and what really excites them."

Yay... you don't have a job so now you can pursue your passions! And eat dreams, I guess? lmao.

ughhhhhhh

as someone who has experienced the hell that is the job market, that is pretty rage-inducing.

what a shame, I sorta liked her before this.

The fact that she was one of the actors that signed that motherfucking "Free Polanski" petition is what put me off her forever (and as yet, I've still to see both Thor movies as a result). Reality check: Polanski pled guilty to raping that 13 year old girl. He deserves to be brought back to the US to serve his time. Stupid pretentious motherfucking hollywood idiots.

I think I read that she was entirely misinformed/clueless when she signed the petition and has since caught a clue and regrets it.

I'm honestly not sure, that may have been a different actress entirely. I choose not to try to verify it because I've liked other things I've heard about her and prefer to assume the best since it's not something I'd have the ability to affect anyway.

I've heard that about Emma Thompson, though I suppose it might also be true for Portman.

Ugh, Emma Thompson. HER I really can't stand.
