First thought: Wow this movie is GREAT. I think I might like it more than The Avengers!

Second thought: AO3 and tumblr must be going nuts over all the shipping fuel. You've got Cap/Bucky, Cap/Falcon, Cap/Widow, Cap/Agent 13... yeah, tons of possibilities. Maybe it'll even put a dent in the popularity of Stony.

Cap is officially my one of my fandom bicycles for the MCU now. Him and Nat.

I, TOO, AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT YOUR SPOILER! Even if I am a bit disappointed about a certain follicle development.

When you say "follicle development" are you referring to how weird 's hair looks in the pics from the Age of Ultron set? If so, I take solace in the fact that it doesn't look nearly as ridiculous as it does in Days of Future Past.

You're right, at least it doesn't look like a frayed dishrag held onto his head with a headband.

Nat, Cap, and Thor are my fandom bicycles. I seem to have a lot in this fandom. Actually, there are very few pairings that I couldn't read for this fandom.

You forgot ZolaDOS.

I've been calling him CompuZola.

I really enjoyed the movie overall, it was super fun and I loved the fight scenes (especially the elevator one! That was a good one).

I am, however, just a bit annoyed at the plot contrivance with the whole thing at the end. From the moment they were like "yes put the computer chips in-" I basically knew everything that was going to happen, and I could just feel how this was just intended to fuel tension rather than making actual plot sense or flowing organically from the rest of the story.

But yeah, wow, epic shippy moments. It's a shame we didn't get a little more of Cap and Bucky communicating... poor Bucky...

I'll admit it was pretty predictable in some parts (when "died" it took me about five minutes to figure out he wasn't going to stay "dead"). But honestly, I thought that was part of the charm. The plot twists felt very comic book-y (for lack of a better term), which is appropriate considering it's a comic book movie.

I really liked it a lot and am excited for the future. I haven't dipped into fandom yet. I probably should at some point.

I feel sorry for my followers on tumblr who don't care about the MCU or Cap because it is basically all I've been reblogging since seeing the film...

Oops.

It needed more Bucky but it sounds like Marvel might realize they should include him more next time, and imo it is one of the better films Marvel have put out, so I'm pretty damn happy with it. They did a good job with basically all the characters (And relationships), so even if parts of the storyline weren't my favorite I can overlook them. It was a solid film, and the fight scenes are probably my favorite in the entire MCU! I can't wait to buy it on Blu-ray and watch all the deleted scenes.

I've heard from people who went in planning to fuel up their Steve/Bucky feels, and came out going "I must now found the One True Apostolic Church of Steve/Sam!"

Personally, I think the latter works a LOT better, but we'll see if it can overcome the usual fandom resistance to ever writing or drawing a black guy if any alternative is available.

Yessssssssssss, it was good. So good. I really enjoyed the whole thing and while is was certainly predictable it was so in a fun way(they had me convinced for a couple of minutes that Fury was actually dead before I went 'wait... comics').

It also gave me lots of Bucky feelings, and Cap feelings, and feelings for just about everyone tbh. Feelings all over the place.

What I alsos really, really loved was the fight scenes, they all looked really good and just unf at Cap and WS fighting(unf at Natasha too, so much).

Euuuuugghhh, I am still so, so torn over the Maximoff twins. Like I love Wanda like a buttload but I am just wary over the fact that she can't be a mutant, connected with Magneto in any way and I just don't know if that's going to pan out in a way that I'll like. I'm not setting out to hate it, they have done good with all the films so far that I am more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to them but still... I am just keeping my hopes low for them(even if they looked really cool, KEEPING HOPES LOW).

I saw that movie just so I would be able to read Cap/Bucky fic and because a friend wanted to see it. I did not expect to actually love that movie. It was light years better than The Avengers and way better than the first Captain America movie.

Curse Sebastian Stan and his puppy-dog eyes. I'm in love now.

It's the best Marvel film since the first Iron Man, for me. Better than Avengers.

Especially for those of you who watch Agents of SHIELD - what the fuck is going on with Ward?

And even if you don't - what are your headcanons, explanations, favorite fanons, theories, etc.? What do you expect of future AOS episodes and/or MCU movies?
