Laurell K. Hamilton. She's an author. She writes the Anita Blake series. I actually like her books, but she writes a lot of really bad sex scenes involving vampires and were-persons.

Hahahaha! Yeah, that's her. I remember reading that scene and going whaaaa???? Although that scene does make more sense in context.

Finally someone else who likes her books. :~)

The sex scenes I can give or take; I find it interesting how they're very often full of plot or especially character development, but I usually skim the actual sex bits.

You might rethink that when you find out she's right up there with Anne Rice in the category of Authors Who Blame Readers For Not Liking Their Books.

nooo, this only makes me like her more! i love anne rice & the interrogating the text from the wrong perspective club. i love amazingly ridiculous ppl who don't hide their amazingly ridiculous light under a bushel in general. they're the best, such great times.

Are you real?

It's okay to enjoy trainwrecks. They can be super entertaining.

100% agree. I've never been that interested in her books before, but I love her game and its total absence of shame.

also kind of envious of people who love their bodies and don't give a fuck. I wish I could siphon off a tiny bit of that shamelessness for myself.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-10 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's not surprising that she loves her body; she adores absolutely everything about herself.
