I guess Sassuke really is sticking around, now that he has his own ~~cutiemark~~ crescent moon symbol on his hand, to compliment Naruto's new sun symbol. Oh, and it looks like Gai isn't going to die after all. I guess Naruto can just bring people back to life now? There might be hope yet for Neji.

I live Neji, but will be so fucking pissed if he or anyone else who died in the war is brought back to life. Pein doing it was bad enough.

The flashback with Gai, Kakashi, and there fathers was fucking great. Gai was a badass as usual, but I'm disappointed that he didn't go out in a blaze of glory. I love him to bits, but I'd rather him go out in a blaze of glory like he was set up to than be severely disabled for the rest of his life. He was cheated out of it. Then again, a part of me is glad that he's alive. So he and Kakashi can still be Eternal Rivals after the war is over.

Fuck Kishimoto for this, though.

Goddammit Naruto anon, I think I'm beginning to live for your threads. It's better than me slogging through teh manga....

So...Naruto DIDN'T die? Sasuke didn't either (drat)?

So what, is Sakura gonna end up with a mesh of Sun and Moon symbol, a la Magic Knight Rayearth CLAMP art? Or is the diamond on her head her symbol?

Naruto and Sasuke are not dead. The sage came to them as they were dying, gave a speech, told them they were the reincarnated brothers/his sons, and then gave them power. Naruto's sun is on his right hand, Sasuke's crescent moon his on his left. I guess the head diamond does sort of fit :p

Sakura appears briefly when Naruto wakes up, but she's not really shown to have a reaction. The rest of the pages are of Gai almost killing Madara, only for Naruto to simply kick Madara's attack back at him and revive Gai, somehow!

Sakura hasn't mattered since about five hundred chapters ago. Everybody on her team got flashbacks and backstory and Great Moments and angst and she's barely even present. It makes me so mad.

Haha, oh, anon, Naruto's been Ninja Jesus since the Child of Prophecy thing reared its ugly head, and then it became concrete when he and Kyuubi became besties, and now he's literally got Ninja God in is corner, so we get this bullshit. We could have had an amazing scene with Sakura saving Naruto's life with her "greatest medic in generations" skills that we never get to see, and Naruto saving the day without the Kyuubi as a crutch for the first time ever, demonstrating that his skill is about more than being a vessel. Getting to see all that legendary Uzumaki power that the Kyuubi seal was fucking up combined with Sage Mode...but instead he gets the biggest asspull power up I have seen since Susanoo.

And then, to piss in the wound, Gai doesn't even get to go out with power and dignity, on his own terms, thanks to the will of Ninja Jesus. Aaaaaagh.
