I'm not saying that the change was good or bad either way
But the characters on Archer, Pam included, have always been kind of terrible, ridiculous, insane people who frequently take part in addictive behaviors, so turning her into a cocaine addict is hardly out of character for the show or out of left field. I don't think looking to Archer for respectable role models would ever be a good idea under any circumstances whatsoever. and i'm not sure how valid "She used to be a strong, awesome, take-charge female character is, and now she's skinny" is as a complaint. At the very least, it's unfortunately worded.
