I'm not saying that the change was good or bad either way

But the characters on Archer, Pam included, have always been kind of terrible, ridiculous, insane people who frequently take part in addictive behaviors, so turning her into a cocaine addict is hardly out of character for the show or out of left field. I don't think looking to Archer for respectable role models would ever be a good idea under any circumstances whatsoever. and i'm not sure how valid "She used to be a strong, awesome, take-charge female character is, and now she's skinny" is as a complaint. At the very least, it's unfortunately worded.

(not op) I think the point is more "now she's a skinny COKE ADDICT" than just that she's skinny now. They have reduced what was a full, funny, and occasionally awful character into everything just revolving around getting cocaine and her loooving being traditionally skinny and hot. When there had been no indication before this season that Pam disliked her body; indeed, she seemed very positive about it and that's really refreshing on US TV.

I don't think it's out of character or out of left field, but it's... kinda boring. Pam (and all the characters, really) have always been crazy and complex, but this series has been a lot more flat. Pam's no longer this chick who loves food/sex and doesn't care who knows it, is an awesome fighter, rocks her extra pounds with no fucks given and a lot of other things.

Now she's a skinny chick with huge tits who loves cocaine. You see how that's narrowed a lot?

Are you sure it's not just that you...dislike cocaine and skinny people? Because there's really not too much difference between Pam now and Pam then. One pair of addictions was just replaced by another.

Well, if it helps it seems like the other characters in the show feel the same way. Even Archer of all people straight up told her they liked her better the way she was before (...of course, he also said that he finds her more bangable the way she is now because, well, it's Archer)

No, not really she isn't. Pam has done a lot of awful and questionable things throughout the series, and that hasn't changed, be she fat or thin.

But also she's still a hilarious, strong, doesn't-give-a-fuck female character. Besides, did you miss the conversation between her and Archer this season, when he told her everyone liked her as she was before?

Agree. Not wild about Season 5 Pam at all. I keep hoping they'll do something interesting with her, and they keep... not.

Shew as always kind of a thing anyway, not a real person. just a sounding board for any fucked up thing tha th catoer had in mind. thre was no conistency or coherence to he. she was the hr rep and she cared about it, but thn she didn't, then she didn't give a fuck at all and was totally cool withs exually harassing anything and everything.

oh ght makes me think of someting! she is always hrassing people. sexually harassing people that is. and she has forcing sex on people. you're okay with that? i don't understand this bullshit. it's like yay equality but euqlaity means reognizing when women do bad things, and y are not reogizing what pam has done. she has done some really terribly shit and you just brush it aside because of the oneption that you have of her beng a strong woman. bt due, her strong womanhood was coupled with her also being terrible to everyone an everything.

so you can take thiskinda two ways. either she was a good strong female cahracter who did terrible things to people, or she as a terrible female character beecause shew as bilt in such a way as to devalue women and show them to be awful.

so what's it's gonna be, because wihiever you choose, you was never good to begin with. that's th awulf truth that you dn't want to face.
