the quest you couldn't complete was boethiah's daedric quest, right?

anyway, can't you just uninstall the damn mod? if i was so annoyed by a mod, it'd take me two seconds to throw it directly into the bin

The quest itself was actually pretty good, but now I have lots of items in my inventory that are directly from the quest.
I am worried that if I uninstall it it'd destabilize the game.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-10 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Did the mod add to the quest that significantly?

(Anonymous) 2014-04-10 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The mod was a quest. The followers were a 'reward' for completing the quest.

Ahhhh I gotcha. Sorry, didn't read the secret correctly.

That really kinda sucks, then. Damn.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-11 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
It's ok.

aw man, that sucks. maybe you could disable the essential npc function in your .ini file and then re-able it once you've killed the npcs?

I need to look that up.
I am not very skyrim tech savy.

you should find the skyrim.ini file in your c:/my documents/my games/skyrim folder. (it's not the same path if you have the steam version though)
once you do, look for the following line, under [gameplay]: bEssentialTakeNoDamage=1
put a 0 instead of the 1 and voilà. if you don't find the line, just copy and paste it.

All the thanks! I will try this when I finish the quest I am doing now!

Addendum

(Anonymous) 2014-04-11 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, it was that exact quest.

I feel you, OP. I've played games where I've become attached to the goddamn bosses and don't want to kill them either.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-11 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, that's amazing! What games, if you don't mind me asking? I'm very intrigued.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-11 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I don't knwo what you're tring to say. I' so confused. I ever played this. i play it all the itme. I love it. but I don't know what's going on.

ther ewas a batch of people creaed? I don't kow you can just get rid of mods if you don't like them. but even if you didn't, what does it matter really? if you got something ut of it then jstu don't kill peole. I mean there are other quests in the game that you wouldn't have been able to complete because they involved killing people, so what makes this different? just don't kill the people and you'll be fine. you can be evrything that you wer before and keep the things.
