If this is real (and I sincerely doubt it is), then it's someone who rarely comments. I went through some recent posts on a whim (sometimes I'm obsessive, okay) and didn't see any strike-throughs.

When you delete your account you can delete any comments you left at comms. So it would more likely be a (deleted comment) mark than a strikethrough.

Also it is possible that they've been signed in account "for years" but have recently been posting anon. That's the route I've been taking, and I'd still kind of consider myself a "signed in user" it's just nto quite recently.
