Yeah me too. I knew Snuff and Raising Steam weren't going to be up to par, but it's Pratchett. You just have to. Besides, didn't say I didn't like UA. Glenda is one of my favourites and I've always wanted a book that focused on servants being servants in the grand scheme of things. I just didn't like Vetinari in UA. I was going to give a specific example bit realized there are probably worse than what I thought of, I'm just biased.

I see! Makes sense. I'm not much of a Vetinari fan (I mean, I like him, but I've always been interested in the worldbuilding more than in the majority of the characters), so I guess it just wasn't an issue for me.

Ah, fair enough. For me, it's the characters that sell the world-building and quite frankly, Vetinari is the love of my fictional life and I'm a bit protective of him. The last few books have been downright mean to him ;; But from a world-building point of view, I admit the last books have been pretty good in that respect.
